14 Jun 2010: The Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) announced today that they are accepting abstracts for the SBS 17th Annual Conference and Exhibition, Advancing the Science of Drug Discovery, which will take place March 27- 31, 2011 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

SBS Announces Top Ten Poster Winners at SBS 2010 Conference
04 May 2010: The Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) announces the top ten poster winners of the SBS 2010 Conference and Exhibition. Posters were on display in the exhibit hall at the conference, which took place at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona, April 11 – 15.

The Society for Biomolecular Sciences and the Association for Laboratory Automation Announce Proposed Merger
16 Mar 2010: For the past 18 months, the Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) and the Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) have been strategizing a merger to unite their complementary missions within the context of one inclusive organization—the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS). The SBS-ALA merger awaits membership approval via a proxy voting process.

SBS Announces the Election of New Board Members
 02 Feb 2010: The Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) is pleased to announce the election of two new board members, Melvin Reichman, Ph.D. and Sue Holland-Crimmin, Ph.D. and the re-election of John Wang, Ph.D.. Each will serve a three-year term on the SBS Board of Directors.

Dr. Alan Aderem Receives 2006 PolyPops Foundation Award for Best Conference Presentation

This year SBS announces that the honor goes to Dr. Alan Aderem, Director, Institute for Systems Biology Ph.D., Biophysics and Biology University of Cape Town, 1979.
